LEAD PASTOR
Dr. Michael J. Rubino
As the Lead Pastor of Cornerstone Bible Church, Mike brings passionate preaching, visionary leadership, and pastoral care to the entire church family. He carries a God-given mission for Gospel-centered multiplication—seeing lives transformed, leaders raised up, and churches planted both here on Long Island and throughout the Northeast.
In addition to his role at Cornerstone, Mike speaks at conferences nationwide and is the founder of the Church Revitalize Center, a ministry dedicated to breathing new life into struggling churches.
He’s been married to his middle school sweetheart, Heather, for over two decades, and together they’re raising two wild, wonderful kids who keep them on their toes and grounded in grace.
ASSOCIATE PASTOR
George Russ
Associate Pastor George Russ oversees all ministries and small groups at Cornerstone, bringing over 40 years of pastoral and strategic leadership. With a B.A. from SUNY Stony Brook and an M.Div. from Southern Seminary—plus advanced study at Yale, Midwestern, and Northern—George has served churches across New York as a pastor, evangelism strategist, and executive leader. Formerly the Executive Director of the Metropolitan New York Baptist Association, he has a passion for church health, leadership development, and gospel-driven community transformation. A published author and lifelong learner, George is a shepherd at heart—building leaders, strengthening the Church, and pointing people to Jesus.
WORSHIP LEADER
Heather Rubino
As the Worship Leader at Cornerstone Bible Church, Heather Rubino leads the congregation in heartfelt worship, using music to create a space for connection with God. In addition to leading worship, she manages the women's activities, social media, and special events, ensuring that the church community stays engaged and supported. Whether she’s planning gatherings, sharing uplifting messages online, or organizing meaningful events, Heather’s passion for ministry shines through in all she does. She loves creating opportunities for people to grow in faith, build relationships, and experience the love of Christ in every aspect of church life.
CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR
Diane Houlihan
As the Church Administrator at Cornerstone Bible Church, Diane oversees the daily operations that keep everything running smoothly. From managing schedules and coordinating logistics to handling financial responsibilities, she ensures that every detail is in place so ministry can flourish. Often referred to as the “great and powerful Wizard of Oz,” Diane works diligently behind the scenes, making sure services, events, and church functions go off without a hitch. Her organizational skills, attention to detail, and heart for serving the church family make her an invaluable part of Cornerstone. Whether problem-solving or planning, Diane helps bring the church’s vision to life.
